Great pumpkin wall lights up Charlotte for Halloween
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One of Charlotte's coolest Halloween traditions is lighting up the Queen City: The Great Elizabeth Pumpkin Wall.
From now until Halloween, you and your family can check out the massive 60-foot wall that's 20 feet tall full of 137 different pumpkins. There are cat pumpkins, weather-themed pumpkins, nice and scary ones, and even some representing the teams in the World Series.
All of the pumpkins were placed by members of the Elizabeth community, business owners and anyone that wants to add to the popular wall that's basically built for Instagram and the perfect selfie.
This year is the 15th year the neighborhood had constructed the wall and lined it with pumpkins. The lighting was on Monday, October 28. Each year, the tradition comes with a unique word that tops the wall. This year's word is earth. Previous words have been truth and love.
If you want to check it out, the pumpkin wall can be found at 721 Clement Avenue.
