Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall Enjoy Some Cousin Bonding Time at the
Track
The royal first cousins shared a sweet moment Wednesday.

Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall caught up Wednesday at the Cheltenham Festival in Gloucestershire, where the royal cousins were spotted walking arm-in-arm.

They weren’t the only royals at the Cheltenham Racecourse : Queen Camilla and Zara’s mother, Anne, Princess Royal, were spotted at the festival, as were the royal cousins’ husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Mike Tindall.

The sweet moment between Zara and Eugenie also captured their chic outfits: A navy pinstriped pantsuit over a burgundy blouse for Zara, and an elegant white overcoat with matching hat for Eugenie.

Zara Tindall is a professional equestrian, and was named the Cheltenham Racecourse director in 2020—so she was on the clock Wednesday. She also won a silver medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics as a member of the Great Britain Eventing Team. Her medal was presented to her by her mother, Princess Anne, who shares her passion for horses and riding.

Her husband, Mike Tindall, is also a sporting enthusiast. He’s a retired professional rugby player. The Tindalls are no strangers to Cheltenham, attending races regularly, and Zara also carried the Olympic Torch on its grounds in 2012.

Zara and Eugenie, along with Eugenie’s sister Princess Beatrice, have been known to have a close bond over the years, growing up within the inner circle of the royal family and the unique experiences that come with their bloodline. After Prince Philip’s 2022 memorial service, the three (along with their spouses) were seen catching up over a long lunch.

Queen Camilla and Princess Anne have been shouldering a higher number of royal appearances in recent months as King Charles undergoes treatment for cancer and Kate Middleton recovers from an abdominal surgery that will keep her away from official engagements until Easter. Queen Camilla was on hand Wednesday to present a trophy to the winner of the Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase.
