Inside Rosie and Chris Ramseys marriage rows first meeting and
Husband and wife Chris and Rosie Ramsey met as teenagers and started a family together before their chart-topping podcast success took them on tour around the country

Rosie and Chris Ramsey don't shy away from their marriage bickers - they share them with the world.

The husband and wife duo, who host the award-winning podcast Sh**ged Married Annoyed, have achieved immense success by sharing the realism of marriage and kids. Chris and Rosie, both 37, met as teenagers and had completely separate careers before the comedian introduced her to his world of work.

Having both toured the UK with their podcast, competed on Strictly Come Dancing, and with Rosie hosting Comic Relief tonight, they know a thing or two about being in the spotlight. But they had humble beginnings before they stepped into the glitz and glamour of TV.

The couple met when they were 14 and later went to the same college, but barely spoke. Chris thought Rosie was 'out of his league' and it wasn't until they got chatting at a local nightclub in 2012 that they hit it off. His career in stand-up was burgeoning and she was a singer in a girl group. Rosie had also been a Pontins Bluecoat, toured in cabaret and worked as a radio DJ.

Both from working-class backgrounds, they bonded over their shared performing careers. In a previous interview, Chris told the Mirror: "What you have is two childhood show-offs who followed it into later life and made a career out of it." Now with kids of their own, Robin, eight, and Rafe, two, the podcast seemed a natural way for them to work together.

It's estimated they share a net worth of between £5-10million, according to Otakukart.com, though this is unconfirmed. They live in a lavish £1.5million mansion located in a rural village just outside of their hometown of South Shields. The six-bedroom family home boasts stunning gardens and even a library. But they don't pretend to live a perfect life.

Rosie told the Mirror: "We are a normal couple who argue and fight and that's life. We live in a world of social media where people only put their highlights reels out and you think how perfect is that. Listeners say they have started airing their grievances in a funny, honest way with their partner and I think that's a really healthy thing to do."

In an interview with The Guardian in 2022, she revealed more about how they deal with their differences and allow time between their arguments and airing them. "Obviously we have rows," she said. "We don't go straight to the podcast and laugh about it. You have time to mellow, and then you have a nice day, and you're friends again."

But it isn't all laughter - they've been through some difficult times together too. In August 2018, the couple announced Rosie had suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. Chris called his wife a 'warrior' on Instagram as Rosie explained: "When we went for our 12 week scan our baby could not be found. He or she had passed early on in the pregnancy leaving behind the pregnancy sac, this is called a Blighted Ovum. (missed miscarriage)."

She continued: "Unfortunately it didn't all end there as we were told I still needed to have a miscarriage to rid my body of the sac, placenta etc. I was admitted into hospital a few days later to start the procedure. It was awful. Cramping, vomiting, fainting, fever, really just not nice." Rosie said the couple's eldest son Robin had been "wonderful" and said "we feel so blessed to have him in our lives". They went on to welcome son Rafe in 2021.
