Sam Fender adds second Newcastle gig at Utilita Arena after huge demand for tickets
North Shields singer Sam Fender will now play two shows at Newcastle's Utilita Arena next year after massive demand for tickets

After massive demand for tickets, Sam Fender will now play two shows at Newcastle's Utilita Arena next year.

As soon as it was announced that the North Shields singer would be playing at the famous Tyneside venue in 2022, excitement amongst his ever growing fanbase was at fever pitch.

Sam has been a busy man this past few weeks, as well as embarking on a UK tour and playing a massive homecoming gig on the final night of Newcastle's This is Tomorrow festival, he joined hoards of fans outside St James Park last Thursday as the city partied into the early hours to celebrated the takeover of Newcastle United.

He looks set to have big cause for celebration on Friday night, with new album Seventeen And Going Under hotly tipped to go straight in at number 1, after selling more than the rest of the top 10 combined earlier in the week.

Sam will first set foot on the Utilita Arena stage in November for a sold out show that was delayed due to Covid.

He will then play the same venue on Tuesday, April 5 next year and after tickets were snapped up in their droves when they went on sale at 9am on Friday, a second date has been swiftly added.

Hypersonic Missiles singer Sam will now play the Utilita Arena over two consecutive nights, with a second gig now confirmed for Wednesday, April 6.

Tickets are available now online from Ticketmaster.

They are available now, with prices starting at £30.40.

Sam is currently on the cusp of the top 40 with new single Spit of You, which sees Line of Duty and Help star Stephen Graham take on the role of his dad.

Telling fans about it, Sam said: "He's genuinely one of the best actors this country has ever seen and a lovely bloke.

"I'm so buzzing about it. It's so beast. I was completely out of me comfort zone and it was the most amazing experience I've ever f**king had.

"I laughed, I cried, I fist bumped the air. It's absolutely everything you could ever want it to be."
