Scarlett Moffatts Who Wants To Be A Millionaire stint has fans gutted after costly wrong answer
Scarlett Moffatt used her Phone a Friend lifeline to ring her dad Mark on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire viewers were left gutted for Scarlett Moffatt as she lost £8,000 after ringing her dad for help.

Former Gogglebox star and I'm A Celebrity winner Scarlett was one of a host of famous faces who appeared on a Celebrity Special of the famous ITV quiz show on Tuesday night.

She sat opposite Jeremy Clarkson and bid to raise as much money possible for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, having helped to raise awareness on young women going for their smear tests.

County Durham born TV star Scarlett made light work off early questions on the likes of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Billy Elliott and flossing but, after setting her safety net amount at £8,000, had to use her Phone a Friend lifeline for a question on the famous Nelson's Column landmark in London.

After she reached £16,000 by giving a correct answer to a question on dogs, with some help from a 50/50, former Top Gear presenter Jeremy asked Scarlett: "What does the statue of Admiral Nelson on top of Nelson's Column in London have in his left hand?"

The options given to her were A: Rifle, B: Telescope, C: Book or D: Sword. Scarlett told Jeremy she thought it was a telescope but, not being totally confident in her answer, decided to phone her dad Mark.

Mark told his daughter he was "75 per cent sure," it was a telescope and, putting faith in her dad, Scarlett went for that as her answer, only to be told by Jeremy that it was in fact a sword.

While looking disappointed at dropping from £16,000 down to £8,000, Scarlett responded: "I feel; like £8,000 is still...the charity are going to be really happy with that."

Gutted for Scarlett, one viewer watching at home tweeted: "On tonight's show Rob Rinder was a complete and utter pain in the a**e. Scarlett Moffatt, on the other hand, came across as a lovely young lady."
