Sheffield United vs Fulham

FOURTEEN minutes of added time to end an enthralling half.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:49

CHANCE! So close to a Fulham equaliser as Traore gets the ball on the right corner, cuts back inside, before smashing a curler inches past the far post.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:47

Substitution Oliver Robert McBurnie James John McAtee

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:43

4-1 to Sheffield United but it is disallowed. Fulham's defence just cannot clear their lines from a free kick, the ball then falls nicely to McBurnie just eight yards out and he takes it with open arms. A VAR check was ongoing and it was disallowed for offside.

Fulham have wasted a golden opportunity here. They will rue all those missed chances especially in this second half. All Sheffield United at the moment as they suddenly look very threatening.

Goal Oliver Robert McBurnie

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:38

A chance for Palhinha goes begging as his unimpressive effort flies wide of the far post.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:35

So much happening there! The goal from Brereton was deemed to be fair. He clashed with Leno after that goal and there was some heated arguments there, but all seems to be sorted now.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:15

Missed chance! Fulham through the left make another superb move through Robinson. His low cross finds Iwobi who should have taken a shot but wastes time deciding. Albaster with another key save.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:13

A much more intense start to this half so far. Fulham already looking more confident in the final third.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:11

Albaster is up again after some help and looks fine to continue. Meanwhile, Fulham continue the pressure and find another corner.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:09

SAVE! Albaster with a crucial save. Willian again troubles the Blades down the left, finds an unmarked Lukic in the box. The midfielder's shot is saved. Albaster looks in a lot of pain after all that and is being treated upon.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:06

OFF THE POST! Muniz the man once again and his header this time finds the post. A briliant right-wing cross from Pereira finds the forward, who is not in the best of positions, but makes decent contact.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:04

Muniz wins a corner for Fulham within mere seconds of the restart. He holds his ankle in some pain after that, but looks fine.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:03

KICK-OFF! We are back underway at Bramall Lane as Fulham get things going in the second-half. No changes from either side just yet.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

16:01

Fulham, to no one's surprise, leading the xG ratings from that first-half. The visitors had an xG of 0.51 in the half to the Blades' 0.19. They also had eight shots on goal (three on target) to Sheffield United's four (one on target). Fulham have stronger options off the bench as well, so they would feel confident despite not having converted so far. Stay tuned for the second half.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:57

A first-half of few chances but not much excitement and quality. Fulham definitely looked the better team, particularly down the left, and dominated possession. The best chance of the half fell to Muniz, who found the post off a good save by Grbic. Sheffield United had their brightest moment just before half-time through Hamer, but his shot flew just wide. A more thrilling second half in store? We shall soon find out.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:50

HALF-TIME: SHEFFIELD UNITED 0-0 FULHAM

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:49

WIDE! Better from Sheffield though. The corner was weak but Hamer collects the ball and whips a shot wide of the far post from the edge of the box.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:47

Late corner in the first-half to Sheffield. Bogle wins it as his shot hits Tosin's heel on the way out. Can they make it count?

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:47

One minute of stoppage time added in the first-half.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:47

Fulham have been quite impressive, something they have not quite enjoyed away from home a lot this season. Need more clarity and conviction in the final third though.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:44

Willian causing problems for Sheffield. The former Chelsea man wins a free-kick outside the box on the left. The resulting set-piece finds Iwobi whose weak effort is easily collected by Grbic.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:40

OFF THE POST! Impressive stop from Grbic. Muniz, Fulham's star goalscorer, finds his way to the six-yard area and takes a shot at goal, before the keeper gets a hand on it and the ball clips the post.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:39

Strong again from Fulham down the left. But again, nothing comes out of it. First Pereira then Iwobi both have shots saved by Sheffield.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:38

First shot on target for the hosts. Another very long throw-in from Robinson, Ahmedhodzic hits it goalwards but Leno very comfortably saves.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:36

Fulham dominating possession with 76 per cent so far. They would like that but also be a bit frustrated to have not yet capitalised on it.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:34

A very scary looking coming together just outside the Sheffield box between two players - unclear who was involved - but both thankfully look unscathed.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:32

Willian picks out Lukic who makes a very smart run, but Ahmedhodzic is quick to come across and block the threat.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:31

Brereton is fouled again, and the referee quickly gives a free-kick in favour of the Blades. But as has been the case so far, they once again waste the opportunity.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:30

Fulham again controlling possession and some shouts from the visitors for a hand-ball in the box but no importance given to it.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:26

Free-kick and wasted! A good chance this for Sheffield United as they win a free-kick from dangerous territory just outside the box. However, Osborn overhits it to Ahmedhodzic who cannot do much and it is out for goal-kick.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:24

Fulham threatening but not making the most of it yet. Palhinha tries his luck from long range but it sails way over the bar.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:24

Robinson's strong arm shoots a good throw-in straight into the box, but Leno punches it away.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:20

Good goalkeeping! Grbic does well to beat Castagne off a lovely through ball from Iwobi.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:20

Another free-kick in the middle of the pitch to the Blades. Grbic comes up to take it but Fulham deal with it. No fuss.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:19

Fulham are looking to complete their first league double over Sheffield United since 2017-18 in the Championship.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:17

Sheffield already looking caught out a bit and both Iwobi and Castagne looking good down the right for Fulham. Willian is taken down after a cross comes towards him, but nothing given by the referee.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:14

Fulham with a bit more threat in a last couple of minutes. Pereira again in the thick of it, this time with a lovely outside-of-the-foot ball to Willian. To no avail though.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:13

McBurnie catches Palhinha with a late tackle and its Fulham now who have their first free-kick of this match. Pereira takes it from a somewhat dangerous position and finds Tosin, but Fulham cannot capitalise.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:10

Now on the other side. Robinson's strong long-range effort is saved by Grbic.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:09

First free-kick to the Blades on the halfway line as Tosin fouls Brereton to the floor. The ball finds its way towards Brereton who guides it towards goal, but Leno calmly collects.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:07

Fulham doing most of the running so far. They get into the box through Lukic who looks to find Muniz, but not much trouble for Sheffield who clear.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:04

Not much action in the first couple of minutes with both teams enjoying a bit of the ball. Remember, Sheffield United have won just one of their five Premier League games against Fulham.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:02

KICK-OFF! Bramall Lane is ready for action, the managers have their customary (and quite respectful) embrace, and Sheffield United kick us off in the first-half.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

15:01

The teams are making their way out to the pitch. Fulham, who won the reverse fixture 3-1 at Craven Cottage back in October, have won just two of 14 away Premier League fixtures this season. However, they will fancy their chances of handing Sheffield United a fourth consecutive home league defeat.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

14:56

Chris Wilder makes three changes to his Sheffield United side from the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth three weeks ago. Mason Holgate and Anel Ahmedhodzic replace Auston Trusty and the injured George Baldock in defence. Also, Vinicius Souza is in for Tom Davies.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

14:56

Marco Silva names an unchanged Fulham side from their 3-0 win over Tottenham just before the break. Adarabioyo and Bassey continue as centre-backs, while the in-form Muniz starts up front.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

14:51

SUBS: Marek Rodak, Kenny Tete, Tim Ream, Harrison Reed, Tom Cairney, Raul Jimenez, Harry Wilson, Adama Traore, Bobby Reid.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

14:51

FULHAM (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Antonee Robinson, Calvin Bassey, Tosin Adarabioyo, Timothy Castagne; Sasa Lukic, Joao Palhinha; Willian, Andreas Pereira, Alex Iwobi; Rodrigo Muniz.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

14:41

Fulham’s results in their last four games define their season so far in a way. A loss to Wolves is sandwiched between wins against Manchester United, Brighton, and most recently Tottenham. However, they have great momentum right now after beating Tottenham 3-0 at Craven Cottage in their latest outing before the break. The Cottagers trail 5th-placed Spurs by 15 points and a top 6 spot looks well out of reach, but will see this game against a struggling Sheffield United as a huge chance to climb up the table. They have no new injury issues and will bank on Rodrigo Muniz’s supreme form to continue.

Sheffield United vs Fulham

14:36

Having conceded the most goals for any team this season and languishing at the bottom of the table, Sheffield United were anyway struggling. But they come into this game probably feeling even more bruised after the events at the Vitality Stadium in their last game before the international break. After a spell of three games before that one in which they did not score at all and conceded a combined 12 goals, the Blades finally scored before seeing a two-goal advantage slip into a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth. Mason Holgate is available against Fulham after a ban. However, the task only gets tougher against the in-form Cottagers.
