Sophie Dahl's huge inheritance from grandfather Road Dahl uncovered

When she retired in 2010, Sophie turned to writing and her first book, Playing With the Grown-ups was published. in 2008.

Then in 2010, Sophie wrote The Delicious Miss Dahl, a cookbook featuring recipes that were recreated for a six-part BBC Two series of the same name.

Sophie’s paternal grandparents were actor Stanley Holloway and the former chorus dancer Violet née Lane.

Sophie's maternal grandparents were children's author Roald Dahl and American actress Patricia Neal.
