Southampton 2-2 Leicester City live reaction: Rodgers' thoughts after late chances missed

While it is roundly agreed that Leicester City have had an underwhelming season so far, they could rise as high as sixth in the Premier League table with a win over Southampton on Wednesday night (7.30pm kick-off).

City put themselves back in the top half with a 4-2 victory over Watford at the weekend and have an opportunity to build on that against another side in the bottom half.

Southampton have lost their last two, to Norwich and Liverpool, and are the second-lowest scorers in the division. That may give City hope as they look to record their first clean sheet since the opening day.

The big question regarding team selection is whether Jamie Vardy will start a midweek game for the first time this campaign.
