Jemma, who is 35, has gained recognition for her business of making pretty labels, known by the Instagram handle 'Label Lady'. She now has more than 750k followers on the social media platform, reports OK!.
Jemma began making labels just for fun, but when her family and friends suggested she should sell them, she decided to turn it into a business. In 2020, she created an Instagram account for her business, and now many people buy her cool labels, which can be used on items like jars, clothes and lunchboxes.
Mum-of-three, Jemma, known for her book "Love, Lists And Labels" revealed her approach to juggling all of her responsibilities. She said: "People always ask me how I do it. But, honestly, there's no right or wrong way. Two of my kids are at Stacey's, in the pool, and another is at a dress fitting for a skating competition."
"I'll go home, round them all up, make dinner and then head to The Label Lady HQ to work on some orders. You just do what you have to do."
While she makes it appear easy, Jemma confessed that she often battles with 'mum guilt', a feeling many parents can relate to. Previously working as a paediatric nurse until 2019, Jemma transitioned into less demanding roles allowing her and her husband Lee to save on childcare costs.
Discussing her journey into entrepreneurship she shared: "Lee would work in the day and I took on night shifts. But I'm really bad at doing nothing, so when I wasn't working, I spent all my time at home playing with a label-making machine that I'd bought for an events business, which I'd been running as a sideline to nursing."
