The 2021 edition of the BBC show will come to an end tonight

Tonight is the final of Strictly Come Dancing.

The 2021 series comes to an end tonight (Saturday, December 18) after a 13-week run.

However, just one day before the final, contestant AJ Odudu pulled out of the competition after suffering a torn ligament in her ankle.

The TV presenter and partner Kai Widdrington were due to compete on Saturday night against soap star Rose Ayling-Ellis and partner Giovanni Pernice, and baker John Whaite and partner Johannes Radebe for the glitterball trophy, but her ability to perform had been thrown into question after injuring herself in rehearsals.

The couple has now pulled out of the live final after consulting medical professionals regarding her foot injury.

What time is the Strictly Come Dancing final 2021?

The celebrity couples will take to the dancefloor in the Strictly Come Dancing Final 2021 on December 18 at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

It will end at 9.05pm.

Who is the favourite to win?

Rose and Giovanni are favourites to take the Strictly glitterball.

The EastEnders actress is priced at 1/10.

AJ and Kai were expected to come second with odds of 8/1 to win.

And John and Johannes were predicted a third-place finish with odds of 25/1 to win, but will now finish second according to the bookies.

Bill Bailey and his professional partner Oti Mabuse were crowned Strictly champions in 2020.
