Strictly Come Dancing's Vito sends his 'love' to Ellie Leach on 'very special day'

Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola has sent a heart-warming birthday message to Ellie Leach. The Italian dancer took to social media to post an emotional video and sent his birthday wishes to the Coronation Street actress.

Speaking to his 315,000 followers, Vito said sorry to his fans for his social media silence. He stated: "Good morning beautiful people and I'm sorry I've not really been on social media lately.

"But today is a very special day and I want to wish happy, happy birthday to someone special which is my Lulu, my baby. So baby, have the best birthday."

He continued to talk about how they will celebrate "in their own way" when they next see each other. He concluded with: "In the meantime Lulu, a kiss, a big hug."

The duo were partnered together during the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing, which they went on to win. During their time on the dance show, there were reports of romance rumours which they have both strongly denied.

In January, they both spoke to The Mirror to address the rumours and said that they are just "good friends". Vito said: "We have a great relationship and honestly when you just find people, not just me and Ellie but their family which I love.

"You just find these people that you think are going to stay in my life forever, in each others lives forever. And all the family and the dogs."

Ellie added: "And the dogs, yes Rufus!" whilst Vito continued: "We are going no where, don't worry I am going to annoy you every single day, every week and every single year." When asked by The Mirror if they meant as pals, they both replied: "Yes as good friends."

Ellie and Vito both danced together again during the Strictly Live! Tour, where they visited cities such as Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Nottingham and Liverpool.

During the final evening in London's O2 Arena, Vito became visibly emotional as they completed their last dance together. He uploaded a sweet video of himself with Ellie backstage and penned: "It has been just perfect right?

"Love you baby and always remember our promise: “always there for each other”. No more words needed! Good night beautiful people. You have been with us in every single moment since the beginning of our journey."
