'Cobra Kai' Stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser Are Engaged

"Cobra Kai" stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser debuted their relationship on the red carpet for the Season Six, Part Three premiere of the Netflix show Feb. 12.

Their hard-launch at the Los Angeles event doubled as an engagement announcement when they flashed their left hands, showing off their matching rings.

Netflix confirmed their engagement on X Feb. 13, the same day the final episodes of the "Karate Kid" spinoff dropped on the streaming platform.

"COBRA CRYING BECAUSE TANNER BUCHANAN & MARY MOUSER ARE ENGAGED," the official X account for Netflix tweeted.

Buchanan and Mouser later shared a joint Instagram post Feb. 13, publicly commenting on their relationship status for the first time.

"We’re so happy to finally share that we’re engaged," they wrote in the caption. "This is such a special moment in our lives, the closing of one chapter and celebrating the continuation of another. We’re so grateful for the love and support, and though we’re partial to having our private moments, we’re excited to share this check-in to our world."

Buchanan and Mouser have been spotted out and about together over the years, including at a Taylor Swift concert in 2023. They hadn't addressed the relationship rumors until the premiere.

In "Cobra Kai," Mouser plays Sam, a young karate star and the daughter of Ralph Macchio's Daniel LaRusso. Buchanan, who's also known for starring in "He's All That" and "Designated Survivor," plays Robby, the son of Daniel's longtime rival, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).

Their characters had a romantic relationship in the show's early seasons, but Sam moved on with her first love, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), and Robby with Tory (Peyton List).

Mouser and Buchanan aren't the only relationship among the cast of "Cobra Kai," which premiered in 2018. Jacob Bertrand, who plays Hawk, has been dating List since at least 2022.
