The Chases Bradley Walsh stops filming after comedy gold question leaves him in hysterics
The Chase host Bradley Walsh had to pause filming the ITV show after a 'comedy gold' question left him crying with laughter and unable to carry on with the programme

Bradley Walsh had to pause filming on The Chase - after being given a 'comedy gold' question to read out.

The funny clip was being shown to ITV viewers in a special bloopers edition of the programme, with Bradley forced to re-try reading the question out multiple times as he couldn't stop laughing over the question.

Bradley had barely finished reading out the question, which was: "What animal was reportedly used to lay cables around Buckingham Palace for the broadcast of Charles and Diana's wedding?" before he erupted into fits of laughter.

He managed to compose himself for a moment, before bursting out into laughter again before even getting to read the answers.

"Ok let's try it again," he says as he attempts to stop laughing.

The second take doesn't fair much better for Bradley, and whilst he gets through the question without laughing, when the answers - a mole, a ferret and a badger - are revealed, he bursts out into laughter again.

They finally got through the filming of the question, but there was one more laugh from Bradley after Chaser Shaun Wallace selected mole as his answer of choice.

"It just gets better and better. That is comedy gold, that is comedy gold. That is absolutely comedy gold. That is without a doubt a show on its own that question," he said, still laughing.

It comes after Bradley was replaced as host on The Chase by comedian Joe Pasquale - but only for a brief moment.

"Hello, and welcome to The Chase. I'm Bradley Walsh, TV's luckiest man. And once again, I'll be asking questions I can barely read - let alone understand," Joe said as he opened the show, making a dig at Bradley.

However, Bradley soon returned to his usual position after yelling cut from the directors' chair and urging the show's security to quickly chase Joe off of the set.

He said: "Yes, it's me, the real Brad. And I'm not really the director - they only let me sit in the chair if I promise not to touch anything."
