HT: Tottenham 1 Leicester 0

Spurs will be pleased to be in front having drawn blanks in their last two games, but it has not been especially convincing. Leicester gave up a soft goal from a corner, as is their tendency, but have enjoyed some strong periods and hit the post before Kane's goal.

2:47PM
45 minutes

Good work from Amartey and Mendy to smother Kane on the halfway line as he tried to to control and turn. Then Lucas Moura loses the ball cheaply to some groans from the crowd. Sessegnon gets in down the left and whips a cross in but Lucas cannot direct the header.

2:44PM
43 minutes

Leicester have played well overall, but there have been some mad defensive moments. This time Schmeichel comes to take a looping Davies cross but he collided with a mixture of Romero and Thomas. Good defending from Castagne to stop Spurs rolling the ball into an unguarded net.

2:43PM
41 minutes

Leicester win the first header from the corner but Lloris comes and takes. That was a better move from Spurs with Dier switching play to Romero and Son coming short to lay the ball off to Kane. He looks for Sessegnon on the left and Spurs win a corner. Iheanacho heads clear at the near post.

2:41PM
39 minutes

Good defending from Romero and his intervention gets Spurs moving forward. The attack slows down with Son and Davies though, and they are forced back with some groans from the crowd.

Then Leicester threaten again, with Daka not far away from turning Perez's deflected shot into the net. Leicester do win a corner though.

2:38PM
36 minutes

Yet another foul as Dier barges Daka in the back. A long way out, but Albrighton is going to try and deliver into the penalty area. Spurs deal with it easily, but Leicester keep the ball and the home team in their own half. Nice link up play between the Leicester forwards but Iheanacho dragged his shot wide from around 20 yards out.

2:35PM
33 minutes

Bentancur tries and ambitious killer ball from deep and gets it all wrong. Spurs dropping off into their shape and allowing Leicester's back three to keep the ball in front of them.

Almost 2-0 Spurs! Excellent goalkeeping from Schmeichel to rush out and smother Kane's poked effort after a poor backpass from Mendy presented him with a chance.

2:32PM
30 minutes

Leicester survive the set-piece this time. Strong play from Hojbjerg in the Spurs midfield but Castagne read the forward pass. Another period of possession for Leicester. Spurs struggling defensively down their left but Albrighton's cross from that flank is headed away.

2:29PM
27 minutes

Yellow card for Ben Davies who nipped at the heels of Daka too late. The game has been broken up by fouls quite regularly, both teams wary of the other's counter-attacking threat.

Kane with a lovely pass around the corner for Son and Soyuncu heads behind for a corner.

2:27PM
25 minutes

Leicester were playing well but this is now a test of how badly they want to get back into this game. Spurs on the attack straight away after scoring and win another corner. Leicester's defending unconvincing again, and the ball bounces up into the arms of Schmeichel. Var checking for a handball against Perez, but he gets away with it.

2:24PM
GOOOOAAAALLL! Kane gives Spurs the lead

Leicester's set-piece problems come back to bite them again. It will go down as another Son-Kane combination, decent delivery from the South Korean but it was all to easy for Kane to get free and plant his header into the bottom corner. That should settle the home team down. Another Kane goal against Leicester.

2:23PM
21 minutes

Ironic cheers from Spurs as the referee awards Emerson a foul. Then Spurs had an attack of promise with Son trying to tee up Lucas Moura for a shot but Perez did well to track back and produce a sliding block. Then Daka hacks down Emerson and Spurs have a wide free kick in promising position. Pinball in the Leicester area and Davies' shot deflects behind for a corner.

2:20PM
19 minutes

Perez stays down for quite a while holding his ankle, the home crowd are not happy with him. Perez has not gone off the pitch. Albrighton whipped the free-kick in but Emerson heads away. Leicester keep Spurs penned in though, the away team are the better side at the moment.

2:18PM
16 minutes

Tottenham having a really sticky spell here. Ben Davies caught dallying in his own defensive third, and Romero had to produce an excellent clearance to stop Albrighton setting up Iheanacho for a tap in. The crowd getting a little nervous. Another foul by Bentancur on Perez gives Leicester another chance to deliver into the box.

2:16PM
14 minutes

Promising counter-attack for Leicester but Daka was sloppy with his choice of pass.

Then Leicester hit the post! Brilliant driving run down the right from Soumare who had far too much gas for Davies, and the low cross ran all the way to Daka near the penalty spot and his shot cracked against the foot of the post. Lloris was beaten.

2:14PM
12 minutes

Leicester win a free kick, around 40 yards out and central. Bentancur pushed Perez in the back and bundled him over. Albrighton chipped it into the box and there were appeals for handball against Son but nothing doing. Var does not get involved. Good work from Davies to get Spurs but Leicester manage to slow Kane at the edge of the box.

2:11PM
10 minutes

Kane does well to win a first-ball header but then failed to find Emerson on the overlap. Good work from Daka up front for Leicester to roll Romero and win a foul on halfway. Leicester do carry a threat with Daka and Iheanacho playing as a strike partnership today. Kane's radar not quite on - a pass towards Sessegnon is cut out by Castagne.

2:10PM
8 minutes

Leicester win a free kick in midfield after a foul by Dier on Iheanacho. Then Leicester are robbed of a corner they should have had after Perez's shot flicked off the shin of Romero. Kane whips a ball across the area towards Son which skips out for a goal kick.

2:08PM
6 minutes

Spurs have been sharp so far, Conte will be pleased with the start. They are moving the ball well and playing with energy. Leicester still getting to grips with the system change - it looks like a back three or five, matching Spurs up. It looked like it was opening up through the middle for Spurs but Ben Davies left the ball behind.

2:06PM
4 minutes

Son takes the corner from the right and it was met by the head of Dier but he was always back-peddling and could not generate any power. Then Dier finds a pocket of space down the left but his pull-back evaded the white shirts. Half a chance for Tottenham, that. There looks to be quite a lot of space out there for Spurs to exploit. Romero cuts out a hoofed long ball with ease.

2:03PM
2 minutes

Leicester trying to press quite high in the early exchanges, but Spurs might welcome that because of the space it creates behind the defence for Kane and Son to combine.

The home fans trying to get behind their team, Spurs seeing more of the ball in the first few minutes. Emerson gets down the right and his deflected cross wins Spurs a corner.

The players are in the tunnel

After a couple of sleepy attacking performances, Spurs could do with a bright start to get the crowd onside. Leicester do have talent to come off the bench if they can stay in the game.

1:32PM
Antonio Conte on Spurs' attacking

We try to work because we are not used to having zero shots on target.

In the last two games I think that we faced two good teams defensively, they were very deep and didn't give us the space to attack.

1:23PM
A good omen for Spurs

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has scored 18 goals in 17 appearances against Leicester in all competitions, more than he’s scored against any other opponent in his career.
