Warehouse owner Tritax Big Box closes in on £4bn merger
One of Britain’s largest warehouse owners is in advanced talks to merge with a rival in a deal expected to be announced on Monday that would create a commercial property landlord with a portfolio worth more than £6 billion.
It emerged over the weekend that Tritax Big Box had made an “indicative proposal” for an all-share merger with UK Commercial Property Reit. UKCM said it was the “latest of a series of indicative proposals received from [Tritax]”.
Tritax has not acknowledged the talks, although an announcement to investors is thought to be imminent. React News first reported the potential deal on Friday night.
