Tyson Fury gives fans history lesson as he predicts Oleksandr Usyk will suffer same fate as Evander...
Tyson Fury is supremely confident he’ll beat Oleksandr next month.
‘The Gypsy King’ called a press conference on Wednesday to discuss his upcoming undisputed fight with WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight champion Usyk, which will take place on May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As well as being one of the best boxers on the planet, Fury is also an avid fan of the sport and after studying it since he was a child, he believes history is on his side in his scrap with Usyk.
The WBC heavyweight titleholder interrupted his press event to give fans a history lesson and eloquently explain why his next opponent will suffer the same fate as previous cruiserweights who have fought boxing’s best big men.
“Please don't say Usyk's s*** after I beat him, because he's not,” Fury said.
“We have weight divisions for a reason. Me being an encyclopaedia on boxing, I’ve studied every heavyweight and cruiserweight that has ever lived. When the cruiserweights step up to the big boys they usually get found wanting.

“Even the greatest cruiserweight who has ever lived, Evander Holyfield, when he stepped up to the big boys in ‘Big Daddy’ [Riddick] Bowe and Lennox Lewis, he was found wanting.
“You can beat the average big ones, but you can’t beat the really elite big ones because size really matters and we have weight divisions for a reason.
"And he’s going to be found wanting when he fights me on May 18.
“Even if you look at David Haye, he was an explosive cruiserweight and good heavyweight. When he fought average heavyweights he could beat them, but when he stepped up to the big boy in [Wladimir] Klitschko it wasn’t really a contest."

Fury used the careers of cruiserweight-turned-heavyweight champions Tomasz Adamek and Tsultan Ibragimov to reiterate his point before highlighting Johnny Nelson’s failed run against boxing’s biggest.
He added: “I could just keep going on and on and on and on.
“Let’s use Johnny Nelson as an example, he was undefeated at cruiserweight but every time he stepped up to heavyweight he got bashed.
“It’s facts! I’m not slagging anyone off but what I’m saying is it is facts.
"If anyone wants to go check my boxing history, go do it. I’ve studied this game my whole life and you can not prove me wrong.
“This is my time, my destiny, my era, and my generation. Facts!”
