Italy are in a massive group with France, Belgium and Israel in the Nations League, which runs from September 5 to November 19, winners entering the knockouts in March 2025.

The draw was held in Paris this evening with coach Luciano Spalletti present.

Romelu Lukaku’s Belgium, previous winners and World Cup Finalists France and Israel will be Italy’s rivals, home and away.

The Nazionale were top seeds in the draw for League A, along with Spain, Croatia and the Netherlands.

Dates for the matches are September 5-7, September 8-10, October 10-12, October 13-15, November 14-16 and November 17-19.

The Azzurri reached the Final Four twice since the competition was first founded in September 2018, securing third place in 2021 and 2023.

Unlike previous editions, in 2024-25 there is an extra knockout round to be played in March 2025 to decide who reaches the Final Four in June 2025.

So the top two from each group go into that quarter-final stage.
