They've only been in Newcastle for a few weeks but it looks like Bruno Guimarães and other half Ana Lidia Martins already have a favourite restaurant in the city.

Ana jetted into Tyneside alongside her footballer boyfriend on a private jet back in January and, has already been a regular at matches for his new side, following his switch from Lyon to the Magpies.

The 24-year-old nutritionist has so far been in the stands of St James' Park for the wins against Everton and Aston Villa, to see Brazilian midfielder Bruno come on a a substitute and a huge banner from Wor Flags unveiled in his honour.

Ana, who has been spending time with Bruno's new teammate Joelinton's other half Thays Gondim, also travelled down to London at the weekend to be in the crowd for Newcastle United's hard fought 1-1 draw against West Ham.

And, as well as becoming a well known face at St James', Ana and Bruno have already become regulars at a certain restaurant chain in the city.

On her Instagram, Ana has posted about them being at Rio Steakhouse, both in Jesmond and on the Quayside, a number of times, posting love heart emojis next to the pictures of the food she's uploaded to her story.

After Rio's first restaurant, currently #3 on Trip Advisor for Newcastle restaurants, proved a massive hit in Jesmond, the business announced plans for a second branch in the city centre at the end of last year.

It is now open right next door to another established Tyneside eatery - Tomahawk.

Eating at Rio is a bit different to other Newcastle restaurants. Diners pay a set price for lunch or dinner and then are given a green or red card which they use to tell servers when they want cuts of grilled beef, pork, chicken and lamb brought to their table.

Customers can also load up on on sides, salads, cheese, cured means and bread at the restaurant's salad bar.

Bruno and Joelinton were also snapped by fans on Twitter at another steakhouse in the citye - Miller & Carter on Mosley Street, posing for a photo with supporters there at the same time.
