Liverpool prepare to take on Villarreal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final on Wednesday in what promises to be another big night at Anfield, as the Reds look to get the job done in the first leg.
But the Spaniards should not be underestimated and after knocking out Bayern Munich in the previous round, they will fancy their chances of another huge upset here as they eye a first ever Champions League final.
The Reds overcame city rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday, winning 2-0, while the Yellow Submarine haven’t played since defeating Valencia 2-0 last Tuesday.
Liverpool vs Villarreal will kick-off at 8pm on Wednesday, April 27 at Anfield.
The last meeting between these two sides came back in May 2016, when the Reds defeated their visitors 3-0 in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final second leg to progress to the final.
After losing 1-0 in the first leg, the Reds turned the tie on its head at Anfield following an early Bruno Soriano own goal and two second half strikes from Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana, as Jurgen Klopp secured his first final at the club.

Liverpool had to work hard for their 2-0 victory against Everton on Sunday and Jurgen Klopp is likely to ring the changes again in order to freshen things up for the visit of Villarreal, as the Reds hope to do the damage on home turf in the first leg.
The German boss has no fresh injury concerns from the weekend and will hope to welcome back Roberto Firmino (ankle) to the fold, who was the only casualty in their last fixture, while the likes of Ibrahima Konate, Jordan Henderson and Luis Diaz will all be pushing for starts.

As for the visitors, Unai Emery will once again look to pull off the unlikeliest of results as the underdogs, and his side will be feeling much more refreshed than the Reds having not played for eight days.
