We Hunt Together season two is set to explore a new chapter, with familiar faces returning for the fresh episodes.

The first season of the Alibi and BBC show followed the chilling tale of two individuals with troubled pasts embarking on a killing spree, leading detectives to reunite to probe the gruesome murders.

It's been over a year since the first series made its debut on BBC iPlayer, and now the thriller is making a comeback for a second run, although not all characters are returning.

Who is in the cast of We Hunt Together season 2?

DS Lola Franks - Eve Myles

DS Lola Franks, one of the detectives investigating a new series of murders in season two following the events of the first series, is played by Welsh actress Eve Myles.

She's known for her roles in Broadchurch and Hijack, but is perhaps most recognised for her portrayal of Faith Howells in the drama Keeping Faith.

Freddy Lane - Hermione Corfield

Serial killer Freddy Lane is back to her old tricks. Actress Hermione Corfield previously confessed to The New York Post that her character wants to "feel what everyone else feels...she's just wired differently."

Corfield's acting credits include The Misfits, Sea Fever, The Road Dance and Rust Creek, among others.

DI Jackson Mendy - Babou Ceesay

In the first season, Jackson was more preoccupied with his personal life as his wife was preparing to welcome twins. Therefore, viewers can expect to see a different side to the detective inspector this time around.

Actor Babou Ceesay has also starred in other shows such as Dark Money, Wolfe, Guerilla, Shardlake and The Best of Enemies.

Regrettably, actor Dipo Ola will not be returning to his role as Freddy's partner in crime Baba in the second season.

He met his end due to a gunshot wound while he and Freddy were attempting to flee, but managed to devise a plan just before his demise.

Baba feigned murdering Freddy, who was later discovered as an alleged hostage. She emerged as a coercion survivor, hoping that she would avoid jail time for her offences.
