Carlos Corberán talks Terriers test & 'positive' Huddersfield memories

Carlos Corberán says he’s looking forward to returning to a club where he had plenty of “positive moments”, but insists he’s fully focused on ensuring West Bromwich Albion earn an encouraging result at Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

The Baggies boss was in charge at the John Smith’s Stadium between July 2020 and July 2022, guiding the Terriers to a third-place finish and the Sky Bet Championship final at Wembley in the 2021/22 campaign.

Huddersfield are at the opposite end of the division heading into this weekend’s clash, while Albion sit inside the top six.

Corberán spoke incredibly highly of his time in Yorkshire to the media during his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, but also stressed his desire to go back to familiar surroundings and add three points to his current club’s tally.
