Former Love Island star Maura Higgins, who is taking part on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, is reportedly dating reality TV star Pete Wicks.

Maura entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle as a latecomer alongside writer and TV presenter Reverend Richard Coles and quickly became a fan favourite.

The newcomers took part in a sneaky challenge where they had to convince their campmates that they were living in squalor, when they were actually living in the luxury camp.

After a few days of pretending, they were rumbled by fellow campmate Coleen Rooney who spotted that something wasn’t adding up.

The I’m A Celebrity 2024 contestant, who celebrated her 34th birthday in the jungle, appeared on Love Island’s fifth series in 2019 alongside Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury. She coupled up with Curtis Pritchard, and the pair landed fourth place.

Curtis and Maura stayed together for eight months following the end of the show before calling it quits. She was later in a relationship with former Love Islander Chris Taylor, but they were only publicly together for a few months.

Before entering the ITV competition, Maura was reportedly dating TOWIE star Pete Wicks.

When Maura was asked by the Mirror if she had been on a date with Pete, she replied: "I mean, I've been on a date with many people.

"I'm not [dating]. Where have you heard that? I date but I'm very much single. Honestly, I just think the interest in my dating life is so boring.

“People go on dates. Like everyone goes on dates, but then it suddenly becomes that I am in a relationship with this person, or that person."

Pete, 36, is taking part on this year’s BBC Strictly Come Dancing and is partnered up with professional dancer Jowita Przystał.

During Maura’s time in the jungle, Pete has shown public support for Maura. He has shared snaps from I’m A Celeb and urged viewers to vote for her.

In one image shared to his Instagram story, he wrote: “I’ve been George of the Jungle but now it’s time to vote for Maura of the Jungle!”

So fans are wondering if this is Pete confirming that there is something going on between him and the I’m A Celebrity star.

But there has been rumours that there may be something going on between Pete and dance partner Jowita, who have been sharing quality time together outside of Strictly.

As of Thursday, I’m A Celebrity viewers are now voting for their favourite campmates, and the celebs who receive the fewest votes will be at risk of being eliminated.

On Friday night, Loose Women star Jane Moore was the first campmate to exit the jungle, and hosts Ant and Dec announced there will be a second elimination on Sunday night.
