Yellow wind warning issued for Devon and Cornwall on Sunday
A new area of low pressure is set to bring some strong north westerly winds on Sunday.

A yellow wind warning has been issued for Devon and Cornwall on Sunday with a new area of low pressure set to bring strong north westerly winds.

The Met Office said wind gusts of 50 to 60mph (80 to 96km/h) were expected along coasts facing north west, and they could reach 70mph (112km/h) over the moors.

Showers are likely with some hail and thunder possible in places.

The Met Office advised checking road conditions before driving and preparing at home with torches and batteries in case of a power cut.
