quarterfinal against Coventry
Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Championship side Coventry City in the FA Cup quarter-finals at Molineux on Saturday afternoon (12.15pm)

Chris Sutton reckons Wolverhampton Wanderers will take a step closer to FA Cup glory by booking their place at Wembley with victory over Coventry City on Saturday lunchtime (12.15pm). Wolves are potentially just 90 minutes away from reaching the semi-finals of the world's most famous cup competition.

Standing in their way of the last-four are Championship opponents Coventry. However, with home advantage to call upon at Molineux, Gary O'Neil is being tipped to carry on the 'phenomenal' job he's done with a key milestone.

"What an opportunity this is for both clubs with Wembley waiting for the winners," said Sutton when writing his latest pre-match column for BBC Sport: "My old teammate Mark Robins has done a brilliant job at Coventry, who he has taken from League Two to within touching distance of the Premier League - they were a penalty shootout away from promotion to the top-flight last season - and are only a point off the play-offs this time."

Sutton, who is predicting a 2-1 verdict, added: "You have got to fancy Wolves here, though, and not just because they are at home. They should dominate possession and I'd expect their greater quality to tell in the end.

"With the international break being next week, there's no reason for Wolves to rest any of their players - and they are not going to get relegated now anyway - so why not go for it?

"I doubt many Wolves fans expected a season like this one when former manager Julen Lopetegui left three days before their campaign started and Gary O'Neil came in to take charge. Now, they are ninth in the Premier League and have a chance to reach the FA Cup semi-finals. It's just phenomenal by O'Neil and I don't think their FA Cup run ends here."

Wolves overcame Brentford, West Brom and Brighton to reach the last-eight. Coventry, meanwhile, beat Oxford United, Sheffield Wednesday and non-league side Maidstone in the previous rounds.
