Cherries boss Iraola named Premier League Manager of the Month for March
AFC Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for March.

Having led Cherries to 10 points from four unbeaten fixtures, Iraola beat out Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Ange Postecoglou.

Bournemouth beat Burnley away 2-0 to start the month, before two comebacks at Vitality Stadium.

Cherries recovered from a two-goal deficit to earn a point against Sheffield United, before an even more remarkable turnaround saw them become the third team in Premier League history to comeback from a three-goal deficit at half-time to beat Luton Town 4-3.

They rounded the month off with a 2-1 victory over Everton, lifting Cherries up the league table.

Iraola becomes the second Cherries boss to win the award, following in the footsteps of Eddie Howe, who won the award three times during his tenure.

The Basque boss came out on top following a public vote combined with the opinions of an expert panel.

Iraola said: "This award is for the whole club. I’m the one in charge but we have had a good run of results in March.

“The ones that probably deserve it more are the players because they are the ones that give us the chance to be successful and get the results.

"Luton was a special game. We have had a few games where we were close to not winning them and scored late.”
