Rams add star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, Tyler Higbee to COVID-19 list, they'll miss Week 14 'MNF' at Cardinals

The Los Angeles Rams have a huge matchup vs. the rival Arizona Cardinals on Monday night, but they will be shorthanded due to COVID-19. Just hours before kickoff, the Rams announced that they had placed star cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Tyler Higbee on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Both will miss Monday night's game.

These two are not the only players Los Angeles has placed on the NFL's new reserve list in the last few days. On Sunday, the Rams also deactivated offensive tackle Rob Havenstein and cornerback Dont'e Deayon. Additionally, starting running back Darrell Henderson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters that his running back would miss Saturday's practice session due to an illness, per NFL.com, and apparently, that illness was COVID-related.

The Rams now have a total of four starters who will not dress for this important divisional matchup. Sony Michel figures to be the lead back again this week for the Rams. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday, he rushed 24 times for 121 yards and one touchdown. The Rams also activated defensive back Grant Haley, running back Javian Hawkins, defensive back Kareem Orr, tight end Jared Pinkney, wide receiver Brandon Powell and offensive guard Jeremiah Kolone to the active roster.
