Premier League leaders Liverpool are preparing for a big Sunday afternoon meeting with Arsenal as Jurgen Klopp's side aim to stay in control at the top of the table

Liverpool have won four games out of four since drawing with Arsenal just before Christmas, but now face another big test away to Mikel Arteta's Gunners.

Jurgen Klopp's team have scored four times in each of their last three league outings - most recently making light work of Chelsea at Anfield. They also beat Norwich City 5-2 in the FA Cup in their first match since manager Klopp confirmed this season would be his last in charge.

Arsenal, who lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup third round in early January, are also coming off successive wins. Their last home game brought a 5-0 demolition of Crystal Palace, and they clung on to beat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in midweek.

The last time these two teams met, first-half goals from Gabriel and Mo Salah ensured the points were shared. A victory for either team in North London could be huge, though, while title challengers Manchester City will also be keeping a close eye on things before they face Brentford on Monday night.

How to watch Arsenal v Liverpool

Arsenal v Liverpool will kick off at 4.30pm on Sunday, February 4. It will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with subscribers able to watch on their laptop, phone or tablet as well as on TV.

Team news

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey remains unavailable thanks to the hamstring trouble which has kept him sidelined since before the turn of the year. Jurrien Timber is still working his way back to fitness after ACL surgery, while Fabio Vieira has also been absent of late.

Mikel Arteta will need to make a decision on Mohamed Elneny, who is avaialble again after Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations exit last weekend, but Takehiro Tomiyasu's return will have to wait. Tomiyasu played for Japan on Saturday as they lost to Iran in the Asian Cup quarter-finals, ending the Samurai Blue's involvement in the tournament.

Liverpool will be without Mo Salah due to the injury which saw him leave Egypt's AFCON squad early, while Wataru Endo's Asian Cup return will also come too late for this game. Darwin Nunez is a doubt, according to Klopp, while Joel Matip and Stefan Bajcetic are among the Reds' other absentees.

"I don’t know if Darwin will be available or not because after 20 minutes [against Chelsea[, someone stepped on his foot. Very painful after the game," Klopp said of the Uruguayan striker.

“He only took the boot the game off after the game because he didn’t want to see it before. He knew there was something. He left the stadium in a boot and it was not a football boot. Nothing broken, x-ray clear but swollen."
