Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis DLC Is the FES DLC Fans Have Been Waiting For - Xbox Partner Preview

Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis was announced during today's Xbox Partner Preview, featuring everyone's favorite android in a new piece of DLC for the popular remake.

The previously-datamined content is based on content from Persona 3 FES, specifically The Answer. It draws its name from the original Japanes release, which was titled Episode Aegis, and will release in September.

Episode Aigis serves as an epilogue for Persona 3, meaning you'll definitely want to wrap up the main story before getting into The Answer. The 30-hour-long DLC is mainly focused on combat and includes no new social links. It also has a reputation for being somewhat challenging, so buckle up.

Persona 3 Reload expansion pass details revealed

In addition to the upcoming DLC, Sega also revealed info on the expansion pass, which will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users for free through January 31, 2025. The expansion pass includes background music from Persona 5 and Persona 4, new costumes, and the aforementioned Episode Aigis DLC. It can be purchased on digital storefronts now for $34.99.

Persona 3 Reload was released earlier this year and thus far has proven to be a hit with fans excited to play a modernized version of the PS2 classic. We wrote in our review, "A stellar visual overhaul and countless small changes and additions beyond it leave a significant impact, making Persona 3 Reload a more fully realized version of a beloved RPG."

There had been some questions on whether the content from Persona 3 FES, an updated version in the vein of Persona 5 Royal, would feature in Persona 3 Reload, but now we have our answer. As for the campaign featuring the female protagonist introduced in Persona 3 Portable, we'll have to see.
