Australia v Pakistan second Test LIVE Khawaja out for 160 Carey goes past 50 as Aussies punish hosts
Follow the action live from day two of the second Test as Australia take on Pakistan in Karachi.

Khawaja goes for 160! Sajid gets the massive breakthrough as he bowls the Australian opener with a magnificent delivery.

Sajid cannons into Khawaja’s off stump after deceiving him with one that drifted on off, making Khawaja go back into his crease and defend, and then spinning past his outside edge.

A sensational innings comes to an end after 369 balls and nine hours out in the middle.

Australia are 6-360 and Carey is the new batsman. Green is nine not out.

Sajid (2-91) joins Faheem (2-47) as Pakistan’s only multiple wicket-takers.

After Lyon got the day off to a flyer with some aggressive batting, and at one stage ensuring Australia scored at almost a run a minute, things have slowed down and the tourists are now 5-357 at a run rate of just 2.76.

Hasan Ali finds Green’s outside edge with a lovely delivery, but it races away through the gap between slip and gully to the third man boundary for Green’s first four.

A mini mix-up between Green and Khawaja sees the latter sent back to the non-striker’s end after making it halfway up the pitch! Khawaja scampers back and is forced to dive for safety. Luckily for him, Fawad Alam’s throw from just beyond short leg missed the stumps.

Head latches onto a Sajid ball that is a little bit short and cuts the spinner for another four through the covers.

But with the next ball, Sajid has Head trapped lbw on the front pad coming forward. Head wants to have another look at it and asks for the review.

TV replays show there’s no bat involved, and ball-tracking shows it is pitching in line and would go on to clip the leg stump (umpire’s call). Head has to go for 23 and Australia are 5-347. Green is the new batsman.

The 120th over gets off to a wild start with a Shaheen ball down the leg side that evades the reach of wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and hurtles to the boundary for four byes. Australia move to 4-341.

Head uses his feet beautifully and drives Sajid through cover for the first boundary of the session.

He moves to 19 off 44 balls, including four boundaries, and the Aussies are now 4-337.

The second session is underway and it will be Shaheen bowling to Head.

That’s lunch on day two and Australia are in a strong position on 4-332.

Khawaja (155) and Head (14) are the not-out batsman, while Lyon (38) provided some entertainment earlier in the day as the nightwatchman.

The first session belonged to Australia who put on 81 runs for the loss of just one wicket.

Faheem Ashraf (2-47) has been the pick of the Pakistani bowlers.
