Royal Family: Kate Middleton wows in royal blue outfit as she and Prince William arrive for Caribbean tour

Late last night the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton touched down in Belize to begin their week-long tour of the Caribbean. True to form though it's Kate who has stolen the headlines with a stunning royal blue outfit which she wore stepping off their RAF jet at Philip S W Goldson International Airport.

The lace midi dress was one crafted by designer Jenny Packham, though not currently available on her website. The Duchess paired the dress with a pair of similarly royal blue stilettos as well as a matching clutch bag to complete the outfit, and fans of the royal were absolutely loving the look.

The blue outfit is actually a tribute to Belize itself, the country has a blue flag which Kate was apparently honouring. The couple will now spend some time in the island nation before flying on to Jamaica and the Bahamas over the course of their week in the Caribbean.

As she often does the fashion conscious Duchess opted to use minimal make-up, instead going for a more natural look. She also styled her hair in a formal but relaxed half up fashion.

Always one for jewellery, Kate could be seen wearing her sapphire engagement ring as well as matching sapphire earrings and necklace, continuing with the royal blue theme throughout her outfit.

Fans were naturally impressed with the styling and were quick to express this online despite the couple touching down in the middle of the night UK time.

One royal watcher wrote: "I love that dress." While another added: "Kate's blue lace skirt suit (or dress?) is so pretty!"

A third agreed: "Love the colour in honour of the host country."

One particularly impressed fan cried: "Oh please! Give me a break Kate! How can you look this good after such a long flight? We mortal human beings want to know."

Today (20 March), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will learn about efforts to preserve Belize’s barrier reef as their Caribbean tour continues. Acknowledging Belize’s world-famous marine environment, the Cambridges will also spend time learning from conservation specialists about marine protection and the restoration efforts of Belize’s precious barrier reef, PA reports.
