Sir Billy Connolly has said that losing the ability to write has broken his heart because he loved sending letters.
The comedian, 78, also known as the Big Yin, had Parkinson’s disease diagnosed in 2013 and five years later retired from live performing. However, he has continued to record programmes and make TV appearances.
The Scottish star appeared on the The Graham Norton Show on BBC1 via video link from Florida, where he lives, to talk about his new autobiography, Windswept & Interesting.
