Boris Johnson girlfriend: Where is Carrie Symonds? Where is Bojo ...
Boris Johnson has been named Britain's new Prime Minister. Family members and supporters were out in force at the results announcement to cheer Boris on. But the new PM's girlfriend Carrie Symonds was nowhere to be seen - why was Carrie not there to congratulate Bojo?
Boris took to the stage amid raucous cheers after being named Britain's new Prime Minister.
He won the Tory leadership vote by a landslide receiving 60% of the vote.
The new PM gave a victory speech in which he pledged to re-energise Britain - but his girlfriend Carrie Symonds was conspicuously absent.
Where was Bojo's girlfriend?
Carrie Symonds, 31 and Boris Johnson have been dating since autumn after Mr Johnson announced he was divorcing his wife Marina Wheeler.
The pair live together and recently bought a home in Camberwell.
Former Tory communications boss Carrie has supported Mr Johnson throughout his PM bid, so why wasn't she there today?
Carrie and Boris will shortly be moving into number 10 Downing Street together.
However, it is understood Ms Symonds missed the PM results announcement because she didn't want to detract from Boris's big moment.
The pair caused a media storm after neighbours called the police to their flat following reports of a noisy row.
While Boris and Carrie seem to have patched things up since then, her appearance at today's results may have caused a fuss.
Mr Johnson is still in the process of divorcing his wife of 26 years Marina Wheeler.
Carrie is unlikely to appear publicly at the PM's side until the divorce is done.
While Carrie is expected to move into number 10 at the weekend she will not accompany Boris to meet the Queen tomorrow.
Nor is Carrie expected to appear with Boris before cameras when he makes his speech before entering Number 10 for first time as PM, The Daily Telegraph reports.
