On OffBentancur accepts Son's pass in from the left and, spotting the space in front of him, uncharacteristically decides to take on a shot from 30 yards. Little wonder he barely ever scores as he slices it high, wide and hideous, provoking Brentford supporters to inquire what the effing hell was that quite loudly.
The Iran winger Ghoddos is slipping into the right wing-back position when they lose the ball. He wins it back and shifts it up the right for Toney to race to the byline and try to pick out Mbeumo but his cross is turned behind for the umpteenth corner of the match, from which Kulusevski is fouled and Spurs have a free-kick.
This corner is a floater from Eriksen and easily defended when it enters Kane's defensive zone. Spurs shift the ball up the left and earn a corner of their own. They take it short and Son is hustled off the ball by Mbeumo and Ghoddos.
Here we go again with a Brentford corner n the left. Again Eriksen takes it, and fires it deep to Toney who has peeled off at the back post and meets it on the volley. His shot strikes a purple-socked leg and goes behind for another, I think Brentford's eighth of the match so far.
Lloris is OK and Brentford have another corner on the right, which Eriksen takes short to Toney, receives it back and then spins an inswinger in with his left that Spurs boot clear at the near post.
Toney meets the header with the side of his head which knocks it on to his shoulder and on to the cross bar. Jansson, following in, collides inadvertently with Lloris who will need treatment.
Nice crossfield switch from left to right sends Ghoddos down the right for Brentford. Davies and Sessegnon ensure his cross doesn't make it into the area and is knocked behind for a corner.
Hojbjerg and Bentancur are getting on the ball more and more and Tottenham are growing in fluency.

Spurs corner on the left after the alert Jansson cuts out a pass intended for Son. Brentford defend it at the near post and build up the left until thwarted by Romero's brick outhouse block tackle.
Jansson stands strong with Kane at the edge of the area and refuses to allow the England captain to roll him. Alan Smith says he has to be careful with his hands on Kane but the centre-forward doesn't act as if he was fouled.
Toney slides in on Lloris to try to cut out a pass rolled across the six-yard box but was a second too late and Lloris (as well as his goal) escapes unscathed.
Fine pass from Bentancur breaks Brentford's high press and sends Kane in behind. Henry, though, sprints back and cuts out Kane's lay off to Kulusevski. Henry is lightning.
Tottenham are not managing to hold on to the ball for any sustained period and Brentford win it back, bombing upfield until Mbeumo is caught offside.
Eriksen again takes it long and Toney wins it beyond the back pots but is soon smothered and Tottenham move up the right.
Eriksen is given a standing ovation by the Tottenham fans as he goes to take the corner on the left. He takes it long to Toney who dinks it towards the far post where Mbeumo's flick is guided out for another corner.
Roerslev and Janelt combine down the right and shift it infield to Mbeumo who opens his body to shoot and it takes a deflection off the crouching Davies to run behind for a corner.
Brentford press aggressively in midfield and work the ball forward to Toney but Dier is there again.
Son is caught offside when scooting surreptitiously from left to right to try to get on to Kane's pass down the inside right.
Martin Atkinson is the referee, replacing Andre Marriner.
The players take a knee and kick off, Spurs attacking towards the Thames, Brentford towards the A4. Bentford move it around the back four then launch a long diagonal on for Toney who flicks it on but Dier sweeps up.
Brentford in red and white stripes, Tottenham in the worst kit in human history, purple and mint. Lots of embraces from Spurs players for Christian Eriksen.
Cue Hey Jude...
It is important to look at ourselves, and not the other [Arsenal]. The result of the other teams are important, but the best result has to be our result. We have to be focused. This game will be very difficult against a team who have won three games in a row.
"How do you stop Kane and Son?"
