Brighton’s home match against Aston Villa has been delayed due to ‘traffic issues’, with Steven Gerrard’s side held up in the team coach.
The game was due to kick off at 3pm, but will now begin at 3:30pm, Brighton have confirmed.

talkSPORT’s football correspondent Alex Crook reported that the Aston Villa team bus hadn’t arrived at the Amex stadium.
When the match does eventually kick off, both sides are in need of three points have suffered poor results in recent weeks.
Brighton, whilst having an impressive season as they currently sit in 10th place, have suffered back to back defeats to Burnley and Manchester United.
They also failed to find the back of the net in either match, and in a longer period of games, have only won once from seven in all competitions.
Aston Villa meanwhile are also suffering their worst period since Steven Gerrard’s appointment having lost games to relegation threatened sides Watford and Newcastle.
Speaking before the match, the Liverpool icon admitted that their results need to improve.
“We have to admit that our form of late needs improving, we’re all aware of that, no one more than myself” the Villa boss said in his pre-match press conference.
“And Brighton gives us the opportunity to bounce back, a good win here is the medicine we all need right now.
“It’s been a tough couple of weeks in terms of results, albeit I thought there wasn’t much wrong with our performance against Watford when we watched it back.
“In this game and in this league it’s important after a tough few weeks to bounce back, and Brighton gives us that opportunity.”
