A traumatic afternoon at the end of an emotional week for Burnley carried with it the heartache of losing a late and hard-earned lead against West Ham United at the London Stadium. But it also brought a spirited performance, a priceless point and more than a flicker of hope that life after Sean Dyche may not necessarily mean life outside the Premier League.
It had looked as if it would be so much more when Wout Weghorst, ending a two-month goal drought, headed them in front in the first half, minutes after a horrendous injury to Ashley Westwood that resulted in the Burnley midfielder leaving the field with an oxygen mask.
The incident seemed to fortify Burnley, led by the caretaker manager, Mike Jackson, after
