Cadburys confirms massive change to beloved UK chocolate bar and its
bad news
Keen-eyed Cadbury fans noticed that one of their favourite chocolate bars were getting smaller, but more expensive at the same time. Here's the reason why the company has broken the hearts of Wispa lovers

Devoted chocolate lovers were left reeling after a huge change was made to one of their favourite chocolate bars.

Keen-eyed Cadbury fans noticed that Wispas were getting more expensive but smaller at the same time. Having noticing the difference, they took to social media to call out the company. One shopper wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "@CadburyUK can you explain how wispa bars are more expensive and half the size? One or the other surely."

According to Cadbury, this was a "last resort" move to mitigate rising costs of ingredients and production. A spokesperson wrote: "Hi, making changes to the weight of our products is always a last resort, however, costs across our supply chain have risen steeply.

"Core ingredients we heavily rely on, like cocoa and sugar are a lot more expensive, while the cost of energy, packaging, and transport also remain high. This means that our products continue to be much more expensive to make and so, to keep our treats affordable, we have needed to make small changes to slightly reduce the weight of some of our products."

It came as a blow to Wispa lovers, who have previously described them as the "goat" of sweet treats. One fan said the bars were "so underrated" with another describing the fan-favourite chocolate bar as "actually stunning."

Others made jokes about the popular goodie getting smaller each year. One said: "I’ve just eaten two Wispa bars but technically it’s just one as in the 90s one bar was the size of two in today’s chocolate," agreed another."

The heart-wrenching news as Cadbury revealed a special 'graveyard' filled with all of their famous discontinued treats. The mouth-watering chocolate collection offers fans the chance to step back in time and be reunited with their retro favourites. In their classics range, flavours included Ginger, Turkish Delight, Old Jamaican rum and Golden Crisp with honeycomb
