This is the team Eddie Howe has named for this afternoon’s FA Cup tie against Cambridge with a debut for Kieran Trippier. It has just three changes from the draw against Manchester United.

Howe has fielded a very strong side for tonight’s match despite having a depleted squad. Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser are straight back into the team despite their recent injuries.
A few Magpies who missed the Manchester United match are back with Matt Ritchie in the starting eleven and Joe Willock on the bench. It seems that Howe is very limited at center-back with Emil Krafth having to partner Fabian Schar.
Paul Dummett returns to the squad for the first time this season. He is on a bench that includes youngsters Elliot Anderson and Joe White. Ciaran Clark, who missed the last match, Jamaal Lascelles, and Dwight Gayle are noticeable absentees.
Here is who Mark Bonner has selected for the visitors, who are in for quite a payday with today’s match being a sellout.

Howe has vowed that he will not be treating the FA Cup as a balancing act. He sees today’s match as an opportunity to pick up a win and advance in the competition. The focus today is firmly on advancing to the fourth round as we can see from the team he has named.
