Two more huge outdoor gigs are coming to Cardiff this summer
Indie rockers Catfish & the Bottlemen and dance legend Eric Prydz will perform at Cardiff Castle

Another two big names have signed up to perform outdoor shows at Cardiff Castle. Catfish and the Bottlemen and DJ Eric Prydz will bring music fans to the city in June and July.

Welsh band Catfish and the Bottlemen will perform on Friday, July 19, two years after pulling out of Sterephonics' massive Principality Stadium gig. The announcement of the big gig in Cardiff comes as they release their first new music in five years, and announce their first headline shows since 2021. The band and frontman Van McCann is back on stage and promising a new era for the Llandudno band.

Also announced today for a big Cardiff Castle event is DJ Eric Prydz who is renowned for over two decades of ground-breaking electronic music. Appearing on Saturday, June 29, Grammy-nominated Prydz will be joined by Enrico Sangiuliano, Anna, Layla Benitez, Cristoph, and James Organ, at the gig, which is organised by DEPOT's dance music arm, Shangri-La. Catfish and the Bottlemen and Eric Prydz are the latest headliners revealed for what promises to be a stunning summer at Cardiff Castle. They join indie music legends Manic Street Preachers and Suede who will play two consecutive sold-out co-headline shows, a double-headlining show from US alt rockers The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer, British rock band IDLES and headlining shows from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Avril Lavigne, Paul Heaton, JLS, Tom Grennan, Nothing But Thieves, Madness, Rick Astley, Crowded House and The National with more to be announced.
