Angry mum says Christmas is 'ruined' because of mouldy Cheestrings

A mum was left fuming after she opened up a packet of Cheestrings only to discover they were mouldy.

The woman - who wishes to remain unnamed - says the unfortunate event 'ruined' Christmas for her.

She bought the savoury snacks from a supermarket, and the label shows that the item's best before date is March 30, 2022.

Speaking to Devon Live,, the raging mum said: "Our Christmas cheese platter has been ruined by these mouldy Cheestrings.

"The kids are devastated.

"The only way to get dairy into them is in Cheestrings and now they won't eat them because they are mouldy.

"Thankfully they didn't eat them!

"I can't get to Tesco to pick up a replacement and I had ordered it as a delivery. The kids are gutted."

The dairy-loving mum says she contacted Tesco about the order using their online complaints form which can be found here.

The woman says she received an automated email in response, which read: "Hello, thanks for getting in touch.

Kerry Foods, which makes and supplies the product, has been contacted for comment.
