Claudia Schiffer's cat steals the show at London premiere of husband Matthew Vaughn's new spy film
The stars of Matthew Vaughn's new spy action film Argylle took to the red carpet for the world premiere, but it was a surprise four-legged attendee who stole the show.
Alongside German model and actress Claudia Schiffer - who has been married to Vaughn since 2002 - was Chip, the couple's cat, who makes an appearance in the film.
Taking to the red carpet outside the Odeon cinema in London's Leicester Square on Wednesday, Schiffer carried her beloved pet in an argyle-patterned backpack cat carrier - complete with a perspex dome where Chip could pop his head out - and air holes.
The pair posed for photos in front of paparazzi before joining the rest of the star-studded cast on stage inside the cinema.
Chip plays the role of Alfie, who, alongside his owner and spy novelist Elly - played by Jurassic World's Bryce Dallas Howard - are saved from being kidnapped after her books begin to depict the activities of a sinister underground group.
The film features a mammoth ensemble cast that includes former Superman actor Henry Cavill, John Cena, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, Pulp Fiction's Samuel L Jackson and pop star Dua Lipa.
Videos posted on the cat's Instagram account - which boasts more than 13,000 followers - showed the pet moggy on stage at the premiere in the arms of Dallas Howard.

Earlier in the day, Schiffer posted a video of the cat joining her to do press, calling him a "diva".
Argylle is released in cinemas on 2 February.
