Councillor McCoy and Councillor Abellan's column for Sutton Scene, Friday 17 December 2021.

Today in Sutton we are grieving following the awful news that four young children have tragically lost their lives in a fatal fire at Collingwood Road.

As a Council, we are supporting the emergency services with their ongoing investigation. We want to thank all the first responders who answered the call so quickly last night and for their continued efforts over the past 24 hours.

As a community, the impact of this devastating loss will be widespread. We are working to help those who have been impacted access the necessary support.

This tragic and heartbreaking news will leave us all with a profound sense of sadness. Our thoughts are with the entire local community who will now be coming to terms with this news.

Councillor Jayne McCoy and Councillor Manuel Abellan
