Community Fibre down with thousands reporting internet outage

Broadband provider Community Fibre is “working on a solution” to a service outage after customers reported being unable to get online, the company said.
The internet provider apologised to customers and said it was aware some “may be experiencing disruption to their service”.
In a statement on its website, it confirmed engineers were working on the issue, but did not specify what had caused it.
Service status website Downdetector said Community Fibre users began reporting issues with internet access late on Monday morning, with more than 10,300 reports quickly logged with the platform by the early afternoon.

Other voiced concerns that they could not work from home, and some speculated that the issue could be due to some kind of hacking or cyber attack.
Customers also voiced frustrations at being unable to reach Community Fibre on the phone, with many saying they could not get through and others reporting that the chat function had been blocked.
