Algieri hits the floor but it did appear to be a balance issue rather than him being hurt. The ref scored it a knockdown. A big round for Benn on the cards. 10-8 Benn.

Plenty of body attacks in the opener from Benn as he looks to slow down his older opponent. He takes the round for his extra industry. 10-9 Benn.

Taylor outpoints Sharipova Bivol wins in Russia

Dmitry Bivol has defeated Umar Salamov on points to keep his WBA title at 175lbs. Bivol was in control throughout and can now set his sights on big fights in 2022.

Davies breathes life into his career with stoppage of Lundy

Robbie Davies Jr. needed less than two rounds to stop Hank Lundy as he captured the WBA Continental belt at 140lbs. The veteran American was expected to test Davies, but from the first bell, it was clear that the Philadelphia man wasn't going to last long. After hurting Lundy in the first, Davies continued the attacks in round two, with Lundy falling out of the ring. Unfortunately, the American could not continue leading Davies to celebrate wildly with Shane Mcguigan. 

Cordina goes distance against Khatchatryan

After a one-round win over Joshuah Hernandez earlier this year, Joe Cordina was forced to go ten rounds against Miko Khatchatryan. However, the Welshman controlled the bout from the start by combining his skills with aggression. Cordina has his eyes fixed on a world title in 2022, and this fight should serve him well as he won 100-90 and 98-92 x 2 on the scorecards to win the WBA Continental super-featherweight belt.

Edwards retains world title in Dubai

Over in Dubai, Sunny Edwards has produced a solid display against Jayson Mama to make a successful defence of his world flyweight title. 

McGrail enjoys an early night

Peter McGrail wasted no time with Engel Gomez as he scored the first stoppage of his pro career. McGrail fought with admirable confidence and after working out his opponent in the first round, he exploded into life in the next session. A brilliant straight left hand found the exposed target of Gomez, and the referee was quick to stop Gomez from taking more punishment to the stricken Nicaraguan. 

Agyarko finally stops tough Larios

Caoihmin Agyarko was aggressive from the first bell against Noe Larios, and his relentlessness was rewarded in the fight's penultimate round. Larios absorbed a lot of punishment from the Belfast man, and it appeared that he would hear the final bell. But a heavy attack from Agyarko in round nine was enough to force the third man to rescue the man from San Diego. Nevertheless, Agyarko should be satisfied with his night's work.
