Quarter final draw on January 20

Having knocked out Real Betis in extraordinary fashion on Wednesday night, 5-1 winners FC Barcelona are now eager to know who they’ll be meeting in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey. Four of the possible opponents have already been confirmed, namely Valencia, Getafe, Leganés and Atlético Madrid, and the pairing will be decided in an open draw next Monday 20 January at 1pm CET.

The three other qualifiers will be decided in the games being played on Thursday: Athletic Club v Osasuna, Real Sociedad v Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid v Celta.

These games will be played as single legs, with the home team selected randomly, on February 4, 5 and 6. For Barça, the quarter finals will be squeezed between the league game at home to Alavés on February 2 and the visit to Sevilla’s Sánchez Pizjuán on a date yet to be confirmed.
