Crash Bandicoot 4's design director says that the multi-platform platformer has sold over 5 million copies in its lifetime.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, the first mainline Crash game in 12 years at that point, was a massive success for developer Toys for Bob and publisher Activision.

According to design director Toby Schadt, the game sold over 5 million copies since its initial release in 2020. He also called the game a “well-received sequel” which, based on the numbers he says, seems to be the case.

The game was first available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before releasing on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2021. The game has “generally favorable” reviews from both critics and players alike on all platforms on Metacritic.
