“Cristiano Ronaldo Was Provoked”- Luis Castro Reacts to Al Nassr Captain's Red Card Incident vs Al Hilal

Once again, Al Nassr finds itself in the negative limelight. Moments ago, the Knights of the Najd lost the Saudi Super Cup semi-final against Al Hilal. The adversity doubled for them as their star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, received a red card in the final moments of the game. In the aftermath of the incident, CR7’s boss, Luis Castro, came in defense of the skipper, asserting that he ‘did not do anything that deserved’ the sending-off. 

In the post-match interview, he said, “It is difficult to talk about the incident in which Ronaldo received the red card, and we saw several clips earlier in the season in which Ronaldo was provoked, and after seeing some of the pictures Ronaldo did not do anything that deserved to be sent off, and the opposing player acted.”
