Danielle Lloyd has revealed to her fans that she has been diagnosed with skin cancer in a heartfelt video. The former beauty queen from Liverpool expressed her shock at the diagnosis and mentioned that she would need surgery.
In a moving Instagram video, she said: "I don't really know how to say this and I didn't know whether to come on and say it but I feel like I have to raise awareness of this happening to other people! Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer.
"And I just want to raise awareness for anyone who might think they've got something funny on their bod, they see a mole that's growing that's not normal - please please please go to your doctor. You just never know."
She continued: "Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. And I just want to raise awareness for anyone who might think they've got something funny on their bod, they see a mole that's growing that's not normal - please please please go to your doctor.
"You just never know. I'm really shocked at what I've been told today but I've been really supported by the Macmillan nurses at the hospital.
"I am going to have to have an operation to see if it has spread. But yeah, just honestly, not what I expected today," she adds as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
"And I suppose not what anyone expects, but please guys look after your skin. Stay off sunbeds, wear factor 50. Just look after yourself because you never know."
Danielle has always been candid about her health struggles and previously disclosed that she had a cyst on her ovary, as reported by The Mirror. Due to her endometriosis and adenomyosis, she underwent surgery to remove the cyst and as a result, she can no longer bear children.
In April 2024, she also posted a picture of herself in a hospital bed post-surgery. In the caption, she wrote: "Alive and well after surgery. Thanks for all your lovely messages."
Danielle gave an exclusive interview to the ECHO in 2023 following her appearance on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. She emerged as one of the standout contestants, making it all the way to the final.
She confessed that she surprised herself with her performance on the gruelling reality show, but credited motherhood as the perfect preparation for the SAS recruitment programme. She said: "I've been through five childbirths so nothing compares to that. I feel like having kids you've definitely got to be resilient."
