The popular couple who are known for their innuendos confirmed the start date for the next series of Gogglebox, much to the delight of fans

Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths have announced that the show will return earlier than expected, leaving fans completely made up.

December saw Jenny and Lee confirm to fans that the series had come to an end – something which left fans absolutely devastated.

The Gogglebox cast members took Christmas and January off – getting well deserved breaks, with some even jetting off abroad for some sunshine.

But when Dave and Shirley posted a selfie on Instagram the other day, fans were quick to probe them about the new series.

Much to the delight of their dedicated fans and after a barrage of questions, the couple announced the new series, leaving fans full of joy.

Posting a super sweet snap of them smiling, Dave and Shirley broke the news with their fans.

The pair confirmed the start date of series 19 in their latest Instagram post ( Channel 4)

Writing a caption which read: "Chilling out in brown's, away from the rain," the post racked up more than 10,000 likes.

Fans flocked to the comments to probe the stars about the new series, with one writing: "Hope to see you on Gogglebox soon...."

Another said: "Miss seeing you guys can’t wait for gogglebox so can watch you guys again xx."

A third asked: "When is the new series starting ??"

"February the 18th I think xx," the duo replied.

Someone then said: "wooooo hoooooo can't wait. Missed seeing you two xxxx."

Another also penned: "so excited, can't wait. Friday just not right without googlebox."

During a previous series Gogglebox fans were left in hysterics at Shirley and Dave's racy loofah innuendo ( Channel 4)

While a third commented: "yah best news."

Next week will see series 19 of the popular Channel 4 programme return to our screens, with a TV guide for next week confirming Gogglebox will air on Friday, February 18 at 9pm on Channel 4.

The news of the new series comes after Gogglebox's Izzi Warner shared a rare snap of her lookalike daughter Bessie on her second birthday.

Sharing a set of sweet photographs, she penned: "Happy 2nd birthday to my wild child Bessie! You have grown in to such a little character, you make us laugh every day. We love you so much angel girl can’t believe how quickly time has flown by."

Followers were quick to wish the little tot a happy birthday, with one typing: "Aww happy birthday sweet girl. So beautiful."
