Destiny 2 Lets You Cosplay As Commander Shepard With Mass Effect Cosmetics
Out Now
Mass Effect-themed cosmetics are now live in Destiny 2's Eververse shop, including a few that are free.

Destiny 2's latest cosmetic collaboration is now live, allowing you to fight for the solar system with armor inspired by Commander Shepard and a couple of fan-favorite members of the Normandy's crew. The new cosmetics are inspired by BioWare's Mass Effect games, offering three sets of armor ornaments alongside a Ghost shell, Sparrow, ship, emote, and finisher.

You can find the cosmetics in the Eververse shop, where the armor sets can be purchased with Silver, Destiny 2's premium currency. There are three sets of armor ornaments, with one for each character class. They cost 2,000 Silver, or about $20 USD, for each.

The collaboration's armor ornament sets are each modeled after a different Mass Effect character. Titans get a look modeled after Shepard's N7 gear, while Hunters can dress to look like Garrus Vakarian, and Warlocks get a set inspired by Liara T'soni.

In addition to the premium armor ornaments, the collaboration offers an emote called Flux Dance, modeled after Shepard's iconic dancing from the Flux club on the Citadel, and a finisher called Omni Strike, similar to the melee attack Shepard can use in Mass Effect 3. The emote costs 1,200 Silver, or about $12, while the finisher will run you 1,000 Silver, or about $10.

You don't have to purchase anything to get some Mass Effect gear in Destiny 2, though. While you have to buy the armor ornaments with premium currency, the Sparrow, Ghost shell, and ship are all available for free.

The ship, the Alliance Scout Frigate, is inspired by Commander Shepard's Normandy SR-2 from Mass Effect 2, while the Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow is made to look like everybody's favorite six-wheeled ground vehicle, the Mako from Mass Effect 1. Finally, there's the Enhanced Defense Shell, a Ghost take on the robotic head of EDI from Mass Effect 3.

While you're in the Eververse store, you'll want to check out one other free offer. Bungie is providing all players with a batch of 800 Bright Dust, its earnable Eververse currency, as part of its Lunar New Year celebration. Look for both the free Mass Effect items and the Bright Dust offer on the Eververse store's home page.
