APT Travelmarvel Reports Surge in Douro Cruise Bookings Ahead of 'MS Estrela' Launch

APT has reported a surge of interest in Douro cruise bookings, as the launch of its newbuild for the river, the MS Estrela, approaches.

Custom-designed for Travelmarvel, APT’s flexible, sister brand, the vessel is currently being built in Portugal, and will set sail in the country’s beautiful northern wine region from summer 2024.

Over eight days, Travelmarvel’s Douro Discovery cruise showcases the most fascinating aspects of Portuguese life. Guests will dine at a local quinta, a traditional Portuguese winery, and learn all about the growing traditions behind the amazing fortified-wine production that makes port such a source of pride to the nation. They will also experience the fiery art of Flamenco with a special performance and explore the stunning baroque architecture that defines the region.
